Typical fitting time is 20-40 minutes and we rate this repair as easy to moderate. You will need precision screwdrivers, plastic picks, adhesive pull-tabs or isopropyl alcohol, and a heat pad to soften the adhesive.

Before you start: Never puncture, bend or force a lithium cell, a swollen battery is a fire risk and should be handled with care and recycled properly. On recent iPhones a non-original cell may show a battery service message and hide the battery health reading.
