This page explains the cookies londonrepairoutlet.co.uk sets, why, and how to control them. It sits alongside our privacy policy.
What a cookie is
A small file a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the shop to work at all. Others are optional and only set if you agree.
Your choice
When you first arrive you are asked to accept or reject optional cookies. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations we only set analytics and marketing cookies if you agree, and rejecting is as easy as accepting. You can change your mind at any time by clearing cookies for this site in your browser and reloading the page.
The categories we use
Strictly necessary, always on
These make the shop function and cannot be switched off: keeping your basket between pages, signing you in, remembering your cookie choice, checkout and payment security, fraud prevention, and load balancing. They are set by Shopify, our ecommerce platform.
Analytics, only with consent
These tell us which pages and parts people look at, so we stock better and fix what is confusing. They are aggregated, not used to identify you personally.
Marketing, only with consent
These would let us measure whether an advert led to a sale, and show relevant adverts elsewhere. If you reject them, none are set.
Cookies set by other companies
Our payment providers set cookies during checkout to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. Those are strictly necessary to completing an order.
How long they last
Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. Persistent cookies last from a few days up to about a year, depending on their job. Your cookie choice itself is stored so we do not ask on every page.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the basket and checkout working.
